Corey DeCedric Baker, 48, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021, in a local hospital. He attended City High School. He attended Westside Missionary Baptist Church and Christ Hope Baptist Church. Corey was preceded in death by his nephews, Akil JaMichael Bentley and Toriq Quin Johnson, Jr. Survivors include his daughter, Ciera DeAisha Baker; granddaughter, Legaci Carter; soon-to-be grandson, King Elijah Carter (June 29, 2021); special best friend, Clarice Frieson “baby mama”; stepchildren, Camahni Smith and Cleavon Smith; father, Booker T. Miller; mother, Sandra Baker Bentley; grandmother, Mable Baker; brothers, Frank Baker Bentley, Greg Miller, both of Chattanooga, Toriq Johnson of Nashville, TN, Gerald Miller of Chattanooga, Ken Fuller of Kentucky, and Quinton Sandford of Chattanooga; sisters, Vonda Baker Sabir of Memphis, TN, Erica Baker Bentley of Rossville, GA, Tammia Bentley of Lafayette, GA, Jacobia Fitch of Chattanooga, Shaun Miller of Nashville, Marshonda Wilson, and Tammy Hutchinson, all of Chattanooga; special niece, Nova Baker; a host of nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and friends.
