Constance Michelle Norman's Obituary
Constance “Connie” Michelle Norman, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, in a local hospital. She was educated in the Chattanooga Public Schools and atttended Howard High School. She was a former employee at Orange Grove.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Jean Rizer; father, Willie James Norman; brother, Michael Labron Norman; daughters, Cira Denise Norman and Sara Norman; son, Elijah Cooper-Norman; aunts, Gloria “Tight” Ervin and Silva J. Barker; and best friend/sister, Yvette Griffin.
Survivors include her daughter, Sasha (Justin) Norman of Chattanooga; step-daughters, Phyllis (Russell) Paris of Ft. Stewart GA and Gwendolyn E. Mickens of Chattanooga; step-grandchildren, Antonio McGhee, Jr., Russell Paris, III, Antwoine McGhee, Ariah McGhee, and Woodrow Paris; brother, Gavin Stewart of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Bonita Stewart of Boligee, AL, Kenya Barker, Tamela “Tammy” Sheets, and Marvella Willis, all of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Vanessa Norman of Chattanooga; uncle, Larry F. Johnson of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Connie will lie in state on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 12 noon in the Chapel.
