Christine Elizabeth Cartwright's Obituary
Christine Elizabeth Cartwright, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at her residence. She was a 1946 graduate of Harselle High School. Christine was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Cartwright, Sr.; sons, Willie James Cartwright, Jr., Ernest Cartwright, and Dennis Cartwright; sister, Susie Middleton; parents, John and Katie Robinson; brothers, John Robinson, Jr. and Joe Robinson. Survivors include her sons, Kelvin (Brenda) Cartwright, Michael Cartwright, and Rodney (Terrie) Cartwright, all of Chattanooga; daughters, Linda (Claude) Nix formerly of Laporte, IN, Margaret Williams, Sherry Cartwright, and Karen Jackson, all of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Christine will lie-in-state on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
