China Giddens, 29, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in a local hospital. She was a 2012 graduate of Brainerd High School. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helen Varner; brothers, Jeremy Caldwell and Jacoby Ramsey; and uncles, Charles Martin and James McMickens. Survivors include her significant other, James Jamie Ballard; daughter, Cabria J. Ballard; father, Eddie Giddens Sr.; mother, Tabatha Caldwell; grandmother, Brenda Vinson; grandfather, James (Jeanette) Caldwell; brothers, Dee Vinson, Ian Hayes, Eddie Giddens Jr., Micah Giddens, Rodrick Giddens, Gerald Morgan, Miguel Vinson, Orlando Gordon, Jamie Hinton, and Andrew Thomas; sisters, Kiara Hardaway, Tangela Caldwell, Tionne Woodall, Gabrielle Caldwell, Kelisa Newton, Cabria Ross, Caitilin Keylon, and Tammy Bone; uncle, Jerry Varner; aunts, Tawanna (Orlando) Gordon, Kisha (Willie) Thomas, Patricia Giddens, Robin Giddens, Alice Geering; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.Dr. Willie Thomas as the eulogist.
