Charlton F. Burkes' Obituary
Charlton Fitzgerald Burkes, 47, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021. He attended Howard High School and was employed by Herman’s Soul Food Restaurant. He attended St. Paul A.M.E. Church. Charlton was preceded in death by his father, Robert Burkes; mother, Roslind Heard Burkes; brothers, Ezra Burkes and Jeffery Burkes; grandmother, Lucy B. Heard. Survivors include his daughters, Shonta Burkes and Alicia Burkes; grandson, Tay’vone F. Burkes; brothers, Billy Burkes and Robert Burkes; sisters, Shelbree Collins and Felecia “Lisa” Burkes, all of Chattanooga; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Ronald Cook, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
