Charles Bernard Stoudemire's Obituary
Charles Bernard Stoudemire, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023. He was a 1970 graduate of Howard High School. Charles retired from CARTA after 37 years as a bus driver. He was a member of World’s Church of the Living God. Charles was an avid golf player who enjoyed traveling. He was preceded in death by his father, Percy Allen; mother, Bertha Stoudemire; brothers, Jerry Percy "Jap", Raulston Allen, and Percy “Pert” Stoudemire; sisters, Sandra Kyles Powell, Shirley West Fairbanks, and Loretta Stoudemire Nash; sisters-in-law, Patricia Stoudemire and Delores Allen; and grandson, Daylon Hill. Survivors include his children, Taneka Jordan, Yarnell Wyatt, Harry Hill, Angela, Tawana, and Charles Stoudemire II; grandchildren Tiara, Rodney, Dominic, Briana, Pamela, Morgan, Channing, Ayana, and Elijah; brothers, Calvin Stoudemire, Carlton Allen, and Harold Phillips; sisters, Barbara Allen, Brenda Dallis, Linda Darby, and Joyce McClain; uncle. Jimmie Allen; sisters-in-law, Lizzie Allen and Irene Allen; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Charles will lie-in-state on Friday, March 17, 2023, from 2-6 p.m. at Olivet Baptist Church. Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
