Charles Russell's Obituary
Charles Frank Russell, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, in a local healthcare facility. He was born October 22, 1947 in Hogansville, Georgia to Harvey Emerson Russell, Sr. and Gaudie James Russell. Charles moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he worked as a supervisor for CINTAs Corporation and retired after 30 years employment. He was a member of House of Jacob Church in Cincinnati, where he served as Advance Proceeding Elder. Charles enjoyed painting and teaching the ministry. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Russell, Sr.; stepfather, Eugene Smith; and mother, Gaudie James Smith, Brother Harvey Emerson Russell Jr. Survivors include his brothers, Gary W. Smith of Chattanooga, James Russell of Montrose, CO, and David Russell of Atlanta, GA; sister, Shirley Smith of Chattanooga; cousins, Margret Stanley, and Lucy Stanley of LaGrange, GA; cousin, Mary Louise Green, Lee Van Merrell, and Lucile Scott of Chattanooga; uncle, Hubert James of Cincinnati, OH; nieces and nephews, Terrious Smith, Reneta Smith, David, Noble, Scott, Dwayne, and Michael; a host of great-nieces; great-nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor John Smith will serve as the eulogist.
