Charles Lee Henry's Obituary
Charles Lee Henry, 78, formerly of Chattanooga, peacefully passed away Monday, December 1, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on November 15, 1947, to the late Annell and Robert Henry in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Charles was a proud graduate of Howard High School, Class of 1965, where he was an active member of the renowned Howard Marching 100 Band. A gifted musician, he played the saxophone, trumpet, and bass drums, sharing his love of music with all who knew him.
Following high school, Charles honorably served his country as a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Marines. He was honorably discharged, a testament to his dedication and service.
Charles was a loving brother to Deborah Henry, Wynona McClendon, and Phyllis Parish and the late Carl Henry. He was a devoted uncle to several nieces and nephews whom he adored deeply and held close to his heart.
Known for his warm spirit and kind nature, Charles was truly loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of music, service, and love will live on through his family and all whose lives he touched. Charles Lee Henry will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Charles will lie-in-state on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
