Charles Robert Finch's Obituary
Presiding Elder Emeritus Charles Robert Finch, 77, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 8, 2022. A longtime Presiding Elder of the 13th District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, he pastored churches in Chattanooga, Middle Tennessee, and the Memphis area. Upon his retirement from active ministry, he served for over twenty years as Presiding Elder of the North Memphis District. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves to celebrate his memory a wife, Linda C. Finch of Chattanooga; two sons, Christopher J. (Michelle) Finch of Cleveland, OH and Ian (Tennille) Finch of Dothan, AL; one daughter, Chanda (Cecil) Finch Davis of Cordova, TN; one brother, Clarence G. Finch of Chattanooga; seventeen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence G. Finch of Chattanooga; three aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends. Reverend Darrell K. Scott will officiate and Bishop E. Anne Henning Byfield will be the eulogist.
