Cathy Montgomery Cooper's Obituary
Cathy Montgomery Cooper, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021, in a local hospital. She was born October 20, 1958 to Ben and Mattie Montgomery. She was educated in the Chattanooga Public School system and graduated from Kirkman Technical High School. Cathy was employed by David’s Bridal for many years before retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Mattie Montgomery; and her husband, Leroy Cooper. Cathy is survived by her son, Reginald (Kayla) Cooper of Chattanooga TN; grandson, Christian Cooper of Chattanooga; brothers, Dana (Alice) Montgomery, Wade (Wanda) Montgomery, Chris Montgomery, Alan (Frances) Keys, and Diarry (Venita) Howell, all of Chattanooga; sister, Cleo Keys of Chattanooga; uncles, Nathaniel (Rena) Pearson of Jacksonville, FL, Bobby (Linda) Pearson of Lincoln, AL, and Johnny Montgomery of Louisville, KY; aunts, Juanita George, Mary Montgomery, and Emma Hall, all of Lincoln, AL, Dolly Fleming and Sadie Foshee, both of Roxbury, MA, Edith Tyree of Cleveland, TN, Winda Smith of Sylacauga, AL, and Shirley Betts of Louisville, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends. Pastor Ternae Jordan, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
