Catherine B. Williams' Obituary
Catherine Britton Williams, “Madear”, 86, of Chattanooga, made her transition from this earthly home on April 30, 2021 at her residence. She was a faithful member of New Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, where served on the Usher Board, Youth Usher Ministry, and as a Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her son, James Williams, Jr.; grandsons, Terrance Williams, Christopher Shropshire, and Pierre Horton; mother, Irene Reeves; mother-in-law, Eula Robinson; sisters, Gertrude Brooks and Rubentia Johnson; brother, Aaron Denton; sister-in-law, Patricia Glatt; Survivors include her children, Beatrice (Frank) Glasco, Aaron Williams, Sr., Glenda (Sylvester) Taylor, and Patricia (Ricky) Day; 8 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ezella Merriet; daughter-in-love, Marlene Williams; her beloved support animal, Loonie; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Terrance Hannah is the eulogist.
