Catherine Sheppard's Obituary
Catherine Sheppard, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 in a local hospital. She was formerly employed by SRI Company. She was preceded in death by her father, Will McCorkle; mother, Mattie (Jesse) Humphrey; husband, Odell Sheppard; brothers, Billy McCorkle and Johnny McCorkle; daughter, Bridgette Nunn; son, Edward Nunn; brother-in-law, Norman Talley, and daughter-in-law, Edna Sheppard. Survivors include her sons, Leonard (Dedra) Sheppard, Jr. and Rico Sheppard; stepsons, Ricky Sheppard and Walter Sheppard; stepdaughters, Iris (Ronnie) Powe and Berdell Sheppard, all of Chattanooga; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sadie Talley, Mildred (Emanuel) Finley, both of Chattanooga, Shelia (Michael) Peoples, and Mamie (Scott) Slaughter, both of Denver, CO; a host of aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ronald Tucker as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
