Carolyn Louise Stallings' Obituary
Carolyn Louise Stallings, 75, of Chattanooga, passed Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in a local hospital surrounded by her devoted children. She graduated from Howard High School in 1966 where she was a majorette and in the social club Diablo’s. She was a member of St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Stallings; father, David Robbins; mother, Louise Dossett; sisters, Elestine Cotton and JoAnn Craighead; grandson, Rodney M. Hill, Jr.; grandparents, Joe Hill, Sr. and Effie Hill. Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Rodney M. (Sonya) Hill, Sr. and Steven (Roshanna) Stallings; daughter, Kendra (Bryan) Singleton; brother Anthony Robbins; 7 grandchildren, Clifford, Steven, Jr., Stephanie, Alaina, Alvin, Ashton, and Maurice 12 great-grandchildren, all of Chattanooga; brother-in-law, Curtis Stallings; uncle, Benjamin Hill; aunts, Linda Nesbitt and Effie Hicks, both of Macon, GA; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Carolyn will lie-in-state on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the chapel with Pastor Billy Church as the Eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
