Carla Dionne Gordon's Obituary
Carla Dionne Gordon, 51, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024, in a local hospital. She was a student at Orange Grove Center and a member of Orchard Park SDA Church. Carla was preceded in death by her father, James Gordon, Jr.; brother, Floyd Malcom Smith; paternal and maternal grandparents; and niece, Marie Antionette Ponder; several aunts; and uncles. Survivors include her mother, Shirley J. Gordon; brothers, Reese Smith, Jr. and Michael Smith; sisters, Ivy M. Powell, Cheryl L. Simpson, Lynn A. Mears, and Lisa N. Gordon, all of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Carla will lie-in-state on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Orchard Park Seventh-day Adventist Church. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Troy Brand as the eulogist. Burial on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
