Sanford and Son, Turtle Man, 49ers, Lincoln Park etc, etc, etc, I miss this man.
I did not know Cameroun personally, but I knew his father. I played in the Clarinet Choir with Booker (sat next to him). Booker was such a fine example for me, and I loved him. So I know that Cameroun must have been a good man too. I'm so sorry for the family's loss. I know when Cameroun saw his daddy and asked, "How you doin'?" Booker said, "Fair to middlin', son."
I first met Cameroun when I hired him as a teacher's assistant for the Private Industry Council's summer program; I think that was in 1995. He was an asset to our program, bringing intelligence and a sense of humor to the job.
I was so sorry to read of his passing. The family will remain in my prayers in the coming days, weeks, and months. I am asking friends to pray, too.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Cameroun was one of the most incredible men it has been my good fortune to know. When I was going through a tough period in my life his smile and morning greeting gave me that extra push I needed to get me through my day. He was also one of the most intelligent men I have ever known and I would look forward to our discussions about history and music and politics. Cameroun showed me another side to life that I would have most likely missed had it not been for him and I thank him for that. He made a deep impression on me and it is with great sadness I extend my most heartfelt sympathy to the Scruggs family.
