Brenda Mitchell's Obituary
Brenda Ann Mitchell, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 in a local hospital. She was a 1970 graduate of Rossville High School. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Brenda was a member of New Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Choir Director, Trustee, Deaconess, Secretary, and Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Pearl Carey; brothers, Leonard Carey and Willie Carey, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Gerald Mitchell; sons, Jarret (LaToya) Mitchell and Jeremy (Areal) Mitchell, both of Chattanooga; daughter, Brittany Mitchell of Nashville, TN; 3 grandchildren; sisters, Gale Carey of Atlanta, GA and Sylvia Carey of Rossville, GA; aunt, Loretta Askew; a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor Gilbert Atkins will serve as the eulogist.
