Brandon Robinson, Jr.'s Obituary
With hearts heavy with grief and love, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend, Brandon Tremell Robinson Jr. (BJ), who entered eternal rest on June 10, 2025, at the young age of 14. Born on May 21, 2011, BJ brought joy and light to everyone around him from the moment he entered this world. He was a shining star—brilliant, athletic, and full of life. Whether he was dribbling a basketball, racing down the football field, or cracking jokes at home, BJ left a mark on every heart he touched. He was smart, handsome, fiercely protective of those he loved, and wise beyond his years. His energy was contagious, and his TikTok dances—always full of rhythm and personality—never failed to bring smiles and laughter to those who watched.
A student of great promise and a gifted athlete, BJ had dreams as big as his heart. But above all his talents, it was his loyalty and love for his family that stood tallest. He was a devoted son, a proud big brother, a loving grandson, and a cousin who felt more like a sibling to many.
BJ was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Peggy Lee Poke, great-grandmother Barbara Jean Caslin, great-grandfather Sylvester Caslin, and great-grandmother Chinester Blanton.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Dirisha Caslin; his father, Brandon Robinson Sr.; his siblings, Jayla Robinson, Tyreek Hart, Skylar Robinson, and Be’Jai Robinson—all of Chattanooga, TN. BJ is also survived by LaTondra Reed (William), Jamia Caslin, Darryl Caslin Jr., Omarion Caslin, Jaylen Caslin, Walter Brewer (Wanda), Monte Brewer, Marchant Robinson (Stephanie), Derrick Brewer (Shanika), April Brewer, Antonio Kelley, Cornea Kelley, and Courtney Robinson, all of Chattanooga, TN. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandmother Montia Cox (Eric); grandfather Darryl Caslin (Shon); grandmother Cassandra Kelley (Jerome); grandfather Walter Robinson (Betty); great-grandfather Willie Poke; and great-grandfather Edward Blanton Jr.; along with a host of extended family, classmates, coaches, mentors, teammates, and friends.
In the midst of our sorrow, we cling to God’s Word for comfort. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” -2 Timothy 4:7
Though his time with us was far too short, BJ’s life was filled with purpose and love. His light will never fade, and the memory of his beautiful spirit will live on in each of us forever.
Brandon will lie-in-state on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Pastor Ron King as the Eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
A celebration of life will be held at Carver Center at 600 N. Orchard Knob Ave, Chattanooga, TN, 37404 on Saturday, June 21, 2025, where we will gather to honor his memory, support one another, and find peace in God’s promises.
