Bobby L. Paris, Sr.'s Obituary
Bobby 'Pooh' Paris, 48, of Chattanooga, TN., passed away March 18, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. A devoted husband, father, grandad, and friend, he left a gaping hole in the hearts of those who loved him. He lived life with love, laughter, and adventure.
Together twenty-three years and eight beautiful years of marriage to his soulmate Latosha, whom he adored with every fiber of his being, was a testament to their unbreakable bond. Bobby's love for his family knew no bounds - his kids, his grandkids, they were his world, his everything.
He lived life with a passion spreading joy and feeding people's bellies with his incredible cooking and barbecue skills. The master griller, the chef, the host with the most - Bobby's kitchen was always buzzing, his grill always sizzling. But it wasn't just about the food; it was about the love he put into every bite, every dish, every gathering. His barbecues were legendary, and he never turned anyone away - everyone was welcome at his table.
Bobby was educated at Howard High School and previously worked at ADM for 6 years as a Milling machine operator. Bobby had a heart of gold, shining bright for all to see. His love, his laughter, his generosity, he will be deeply missed.
Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas E. Paris, Sr., Mary Paris, and Louise Brown; grandson, Ezra McCaskill; son, Jordan Clark; uncles, Thomas E. Paris, Jr., Michael Paris, Eddie M. Allen, and Billie Brown; aunt, Debra Robinson; and father-in-law, Michael Mays.
Bobby leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, LaTosha Paris; sons, Jaquan Paris, and Bobby Paris, Jr.; daughters, Kiarra Young, KeShanta Goins (Atlanta, GA.), Ke’Aisha Young, and Keyanna Mays; grandchildren, Cam’Ryee Rice, Cameron Goins (Atlanta, GA.), Keylin Bell, Kinsley Mays, Ja’ky Paris, and Le’Uni Paris; god-daughter, Carlijah Edwards; parents, Sidney and Judy Jones; father, Bobby L Brown; mother-in-law, Annette Mays; brother, Quentin Brown; sisters, Treleney T. Brown, and Latoya Hicks; sisters-in-law, Tricia (Aaron) Allen, and Shautanese Mays (caregiver); uncles, Douglas (Marian) Paris, Howard (Sherby) Paris, Anthony Freeman, Everett (Willie Mae) Jones, Garland Jones, Rodriquez ( Nichole) Lewis, Stacy Chalk, Mike Wofford, Brian Wofford, Grady Palmer, Edward Abernathy, and Rodney Cameron, Sr.; aunts, Vanessa Allen, Tammy (Steve) Allen, Sandra Wofford, Linda (Alfred) Smith, Rosemary Palmer, and Connie (Daryl ) Harris; special childhood friend, Carlos Edwards; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Bobby will lie-in-state on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon in the Chapel with Pastor Charlie Walker as the Eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
