Bobby Ray Johnson, Jr., 42, was born on April 7, 1982, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Bobby “Ray” Johnson, Sr. and Audrey Reed. Bobby attended Tyner High school. He was an employee for three years at Volkswagen Group of America. He will be truly missed. He loved his job and they loved him as well. Bobby was a great father, friend, spouse, brother, son, and uncle. Bobby was full of love and humor. He was always making jokes about someone and was a laid back, cool person to be around. To know him was to love him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Addie Bell Overton and Elizabeth Epps; aunt, Ruby Gean Robert; stepson, Deon’trey (Shanerra) Southers. Bobby leaves behind so many loved ones; mother, Audrey (Hughley) Reed; father, Bobby (Tina) “Ray” Johnson, Sr.; spouse, LaKisha; children, Twa’Layjah, Sumijah Johnson (Towanda), Bobby (Marketta) Johnson, III, and Nicholas (Kisha) Russell; sisters, Gail Epps, Toni Davis, Shavona Reed, Miracle (Danish) Harani, Breauna Johnson; brother, Jamal Johnson and Russell (Iteisha) Harris, Jr.; nieces; nephews, Deantwung Epps, Tink Lollis, Lebron Epps, Shaquna (Darrion) Jackson, Leonta Epps, Cherica (Kendrick) Howard, Patrick (Sara) Hunter, Jr., Miquell Hunter, and DeCarri Ammons, Goddess Johnson, Kenan Johnson, Khalil Johnson, and Danish Hirani, Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Devoted sister, Erika Baker. Bobby will lie-in-state on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 12 noon at Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Antonio Bonner, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
