Bobby Eugene Goines, Sr.'s Obituary
Bobby Eugene Goines, Sr., 72, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, in a local hospital. He was a graduate of Riverside High School. Bobby was a member of Temple of Faith Church of God in Christ. He retired from Wheland Foundry after many years of service. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mary C. Goines, Sr.; grandmother, Caroline Y. Hampton; sister, Laura Halfacre; brother, Sam King; uncles, Sam Owens and Walter Goines; and nephew, Cornelius Halfacre. Survivors include his wife, Christine Williams; sons, Bobby Goines, Jr. of Chattanooga, Carlos (Karoll) Goines of Orlando, FL, and Malcolm (Aaliyah) Goines of Frisco, TX; daughter, Monyel Goines of Antioch, TN; step-daughter, Myra Williams; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Samuel (Martha) Goines, Jr. of Chattanooga and Luther (Gladys) Thompson of Jackson, MS; sisters, Linda Lindsey, Barbara Jean Starr, and Madoline Jo Goines, all of Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Patricia Jones; special nieces, Tamesia Davenport and Darcell Thomas; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Bobby will lie-in-state on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Dr. Rozario Slack as the eulogist. Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery.
