Bobby Dixson, Sr.'s Obituary
Bobby Dixson, Sr., 77, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at his residence. He was the eldest son of the late K.C. and Cedella Dixson Sr. He was baptized at Greater Beulah Baptist Church. Bobby was a 1961 Howard High School graduate. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by TVA in 1977 as a Health Physics Technician, where he later retired. He was a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy Dixson, Dorsey Dixson, Thaddeus Dixson, Marshall Dixson, and Tommy Dixson; and sister, Bobbie Jean Beasley. Survivors include his former wives, Clara Dixson and Nancy Dixson; five children, Nikki Ellis, Bobby Dixson Jr., Marcea (Melvin) Black, Samuel (Leslie) Dixson, and Saterra (Aaron) Grissom; four siblings, Travis Dixson, K.C. (Deadra) Dixson, Jr., Anthony Dixson, and Wanda Dixson; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Elder James Leslie will serve as the eulogist.
