Billy Gene Baker, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 in a local hospital. He was employed by Don’s Produce as a supervisor for many years. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, James Roy Baker and Jessie Lee Baker; brothers, Bobby Gene Baker, Jim Baker, and Herman Baker. Survivors include his son, Garrie (Georgia) Cosby of San Diego, CA; daughters, Veronica Bolding and Verenda (Roderick) Morris, both of Decatur, AL; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Baker, Germon (Charlie Hughes) Baker, and Johnny Jones, all of Chattanooga; sisters, Doris A. Baker of Decatur, AL, Mabelean Simmons of Atlanta, GA, Charlene Baker of Baltimore, MD, and Jessie Dlois Baker of Chattanooga; aunt, Eliza Ulis of Nashville, TN; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
