Betty Patterson's Obituary
Betty Rose Patterson, 80, of Chattanooga, transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her children and grandchildren when her Lord and Savior called her to eternity. Ms. Betty was deeply loved by many, and her legacy will live on through the people she served. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rosetta Hunter; children, Roy Allgood and Rocksand Allgood Martin; sister, Carletta Hunter Cummings; brothers, Grady Hunter, Hershell Hunter, David Hunter, W.C. Hunter, and Raymond Hunter. Survivors include her children, Phillip Richard Allgood and Tina Allgood (Anthony, Sr.) Stewart; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ann Hunter Graham and Emma Jean Hunter Turner; brothers, Billy Hunter, Bobby Hunter, and Doyle Hunter; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Ms. Betty will lie-in-state on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Pastor Jeff Carter officiating and Pastor Emeritus Marshall Robinson as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
