Betty J. Harris' Obituary
Ms. Betty Jean Harris, 78, of Chattanooga, TN passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, in a local healthcare facility. She attended Hill High School. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Doss; father, Eugene McDonald; stepfather, Sam Doss; sister, Georgia Southern, brother, Wilson McDonald, daughter, SaBrina Scruggs. Survivors include her son, Richard (Stephania) Harris, of Dallas, GA; daughter, Vanessa Harris, of Chattanooga; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Sharon) Doss, of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters, Jacqueline Capers, Patricia Trimble, both of Chattanooga. Ms. Harris will lie-in-state on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the chapel with Elder Stephen Gilchrist as the eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
