Bernice Owens Robinson's Obituary
Bernice Owens Robinson, 79, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 in a local hospital. She was born May 8, 1941 in Courtland, Alabama. She was a graduate of Howard High School. Bernice was a member of Church of the First Born. She retired after 35 years from Erlanger Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Bay Owens; mother, Willie Mae Mason; sons, Curtis Harris and James Harris; brothers, Oscar Mason, Clinton Mason, Jr., Amos Copeny, and James Copeny; and sister, Joyce Copeny. Survivors include her children, Sharon (Reginald) Harris, Michael Owens, Darrel (Coretta) Owens, Charlene (Eric) Conney, Charles Brown, and Gary Brown; sisters, Brenda (Lovell) Johnson, Janie Mae Jones, and Della Kellogg; brothers, Dennis Copeny, Jerry (Sonia) Copeny, all of Chattanooga, Earl Fossis of Ennis, TX, and George Williams of Chattanooga; aunt, Gladys Scruggs of Courtland, AL; special family friend, Yalanda Clark; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Pastor Alfred Johnson will serve as the eulogist.
