Barry “Sleepy” Stroud, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in a local hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Stroud, Sr. and Georgia A. Stroud; brothers, Walter Lee Stroud and Peter Stroud, Jr. Survivors include his son, Marvin Akridge of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Marvin Joe Stroud, Donald Stroud, and Dennis Stroud; sister, Robernetta Thompson of Canton, GA; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
