Arthur Womble, Jr.'s Obituary
Arthur Womble Jr., 71, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at his residence. He was born November 16, 1953, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Arthur Womble, Sr. and Lorene Tumblin. Arthur was educated by the Chattanooga Public Schools and was a graduate of Howard High School. He was a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church where he was a Trustee of the church and a member of the Male Chorus. He was a laborer for Crane Industry.
Arthur was preceded in death by his grandson, Jaylen Ramsey; father, Arthur Womble Sr.; mother, Marion Womble; sister, Annie Mae Tucker; nephew, Dewayne Womble; mother-in-law, Bernice Pickett; father-in-law, Reverend Louis Pickett. Cherishing his memories include his wife of 21 years, Lorraine Womble; sons, Darrell (Alexis) Young, Reginald Dewayne Tumlin, and Marcus Dean (Kimberlyn) Tumlin, all of Chattanooga; daughter, Calandra Michelle Tumlin, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Darrell Young, Jr., Deonta Young, Deshun Young, Aaron Young, Qawntez Young, Devonta Tumlin, Dandric Tumlin, Jermichia Tumlin, Jermetrius Tumlin, Reginald Tumlin, Ra’Shun Tumlin, Parish Tumlin, Jalean Roseberry, Jatterius Roseberry, Ivana Ramsey, and Daraneshia Hammon; sister, Beverly (Roland) Smith, of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Arthur will lie-in-state on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ronald Tucker as the Eulogist. Burial will be Monday, April 28, 2025, at 12:00 noon in Forest Hills Cemetery.
