Mr. Arnold George Thompson's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband and father, Arnold George Thompson, who left us on March 11, 2025 at the age of 87. He passed in his home in Harrison, Tennessee. He was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on March 8, 1938. He was a man of immense knowledge and skills as a Refrigeration, Maintenance Engineer, Locksmith and Electrician. In his personal life Arnold spent time cherishing every moment spent attending church services at Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Pentecostal Church where he was a beloved Deacon. He also enjoyed, gardening and spending time with his loved ones.
He left behind his wife, Marcia E. Thompson; son, Leroy A. Thompson; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Thompson; grandchildren, Daniel Thompson and Joshua Thompson. In addition, his son, Shaun A. Thompson, daughter-in-law, Ericia Thompson; daughters, Fiona A. Thompson and Emma A. Thompson. Deacon Thompson will lie-in-state on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Greater Emmanuel Apostolic Pentecostal Church. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon with Elder Paul Warfield as the Eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga, Inc.
