Anthony “Ant” Tyrone Thompson, Sr., 41, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 in Huntsville, Alabama. He was a 1997 graduate of Ooltewah High School. He attended University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Anthony was an athlete for the Dalton Danger and Tennessee Crush Football Teams. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sabrina Thompson; grandparents, James and Gwendolyn Bruell, Fred and Nellie Thompson; great-grandfather, Will Simley. Survivors include his son, Anthony “AJ” Thompson, Jr. of Chattanooga; father, Arthur Thompson, Sr.; brothers, Arthur Thompson, Jr. of Chattanooga, Michael (Allunda) Thompson of Athens, AL, and Earl Thompson of Decatur, AL; sister, Marckita (Shaun) Wilkes of Chattanooga; former wife, Ashley Johnson of Chattanooga; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor Ron King will officiate. Minister Isaiah Purifory will be the eulogist.
