Anthony Lebron Poe Sr.'s Obituary
Anthony Lebron Poe, Sr., 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023, at his residence. He was a 1972 graduate of Howard High School. He was formerly employed by Wrigley’s and was a member of Thankful Missionary Baptist Church. Anthony loved everybody in his family. He loved spending time with family and friends. His favorite past times were fishing and relaxing with a drink while listening to old-school music. Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Poe; father, Clay Poe; son, Patrick Poe; brothers, Jimmy Poe and Larry Poe; sisters, Shirley Lee and Sandra Kelley; nephews, Terrance Poe, Sr., Esmond Sparks, Sr., and Tony Poe, Jr. Survivors include his son, Anthony Lebron (Charmaine) Poe, II of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Monica Marie (Phillip, Jr.) Jones of Kennesaw, GA; grandchildren, Clay C. Poe and Christopher E. Jones; brothers, Tony Poe, Sr. and Gregory Poe; sister, Linda (Charles) Roberts; girlfriend, Sherrian Stinson; best friends, Ed and Glennis Golson; mother of his children, Belinda Willis; a host of loving nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Anthony will lie-in-state on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
