Annie Pearl Bowman's Obituary
Annie Pearl Bowman, 77, of Chattanooga, transitioned from earth to glory on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at her residence. She was employed by Eastgate Carwash for over 50 years. Our beloved mother was known for her love of God and her generous heart. Annie spent her Christian life pointing to Jesus. We love her, we honor her, and we will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Bowman; parents, Rufus and Jessie Appleberry, Sr.; sisters, Mattie Mosley, Delois Appleberry, and Geraldine Appleberry; brother, Leroy Fitzgerald and Rufus Appleberry, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Alesia Bowman, Cassandra Bowman, and Charlette Bowman, all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Queante Bowman of Orlando, FL, Niakeela Dodds, Mikia Chism, Ricky (Victoria) Braswell II, and Michael Chism, Jr., all of Chattanooga; brother, Eric (Charlotte) Appleberry of Chattanooga; sisters, Marylene Appleberry of Chattanooga and Ora Meredith of Alabama; aunt, Louise Jones of Alabama; a host of nephews, nieces; cousins; other relatives and friends. We would like to especially “Thank” Dr. Todd Boren, Dr. Curtis McKoy, Sr., and Dr. Winnifred Davies, and Hospice of Cleveland and everyone that played a role in our mother’s care. We would also like to “Thank” our church family, Olivet Baptist Church, for your love, continued support, and prayers, Bishop Kevin Adams, Sr., Pastor McDaniel Bowman, Sr., and Pastor Vincent Dixson.
Annie will lie-in-state Friday, August 30, 2919 after 12:30 at Taylor Funeral Home with the visitation from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel.
Homegoing service will be Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 12 noon at Olivet Baptist Church with Bishop Kevin Adams, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
