Ms. Annie Mae Newby's Obituary
Annie Mae Newby, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 in a local hospital. She attended Howard High School. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Davis; sister, Pauline Kelley; and brother, Robert Chaney. Survivors include her sons, Willis “Eve” (Jennifer) Newby, Jr., Donnie Newby, and Ronnie (Chelsea) Newby, all of Georgia; daughters, Deborah Hughes and Terry Scruggs, both of Chattanooga; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Andrews of Chattanooga; very special friend, Wilburn Fields; best friends, Rosetta and Lenora; a host of other relatives and friends. She will lie-in-state on Sunday, December 22, 2019 after 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Timothy Careathers as the eulogist.
