Annie Laura Harris' Obituary
Annie Laura Harris, 84, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her residence in Jonesboro, Georgia, with her devoted sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Brad Johnson, by her side. She was a 1955 graduate of Howard High School. Annie was an employee of T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital for 15 years. After employment she left to care for her husband. Annie was a faithful member of St. Phillips Lutheran Church until her illness prevented her from attending. Her door was always open to family and friends. She didn’t mind sharing what she had. Annie was a true missionary of love. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Levi Harris; parents, Davis and Laura Brooks; sons, Christopher and Steven Harris; brothers, Lenard Brooks and John Davis Brooks; sisters, Virginia Fowler, Rita Rickman, and Geneva Watson. Survivors include her son, Levi Harris, III; sister, Sarah Johnson (Sylvester); devoted nephews, Edwin Ervin and James Ervin (Reva); dear friend, Eara King; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Minister Sandra Goodlowe will be the eulogist.
