Anna Mae Ellis' Obituary
Anna Mae Ellis, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, in a local hospital. She was a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Ellis, Sr.; children, Frank Ellis, Richard Ellis, Willie Ellis, Jr., and Bobbie Jean Ellis; parents, Luther and Lille Marshall; five sisters; four brothers; grandchildren, Denise Marshall and Toney Ellis. Survivors include her sons, Thomas Ellis, Michael Ellis, Leonard Officer, and Dennis Marshall; daughters, Ruby Ellis and Tonnette Bonds; 35 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Anna will lie-in-state on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel. Burial in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
