Angie Lee Pierce, 75, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023. She attended Riverside High School. Angie attended Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert McWhorter, Sr.; mother, Angie Cousby; stepfather, Percy Cousby; husband of 27 years of marriage, Solomon L. Pierce, Sr.; son, Solomon L. Pierce, Jr.; daughter, Larkecha Pierce; great—granddaughter, Chloe Robinson. Survivors include son, Cedric Pierce of Albany, NY; daughter, Shetonia Pierce of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Symonne Pierce, Sydney Hampton, Solomon Pierce, III, Somaya Pierce, Jacqui Pittman, Latevious Pierce, Coebe Davis, Corion Davis all of Chattanooga, Angie Pierce, Larkecha Pierce, Leigh Jones, and Georgia Jennings all of Albany, NY; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert McWhorter, Jr. of Chattanooga and Tyrone (Doncella) McWhorter of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Deborah McWhorter of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Virginia Pierce and Gloria Pierce, both of Chattanooga; niece, Natashia McWhorter; cousin, Rudolph Houston; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. She will lie-in-state on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Minister Felicia Pierce as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
