Angela Woodard's Obituary
Angela Woodard, 57, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at her residence. Angela attended Howard High school class of 1984. During her time there she was a cheerleader and a majorette. Angela loved her family and will truly be missed. She is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Catherine (Council) Jefferson and Ernestine (Walter) Hambrick; sister, Terrie Orr; father-in-law, William Woodard, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Vinnie Woodard and Christopher Woodard, Sr.; nephew, Christopher Woodard, Jr. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, William Woodard, Jr.; daughters, Jamila Pettyjohn, Jamica (Nakeisha) Pettyjohn both of Nashville, TN, and Ashley (Devin) Woodard of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jamia Benton, Jaisha Ricks, Malachi Benton, Jacari Williams, Devine Tate and Ashlyn Tate; father, Richard (Soledan) Smith; mother, Shirley Smith; brother, Melvin Orr, Jr.; sisters, Deboarh Orr and Leslie (James) Evans; mother-in-law, Annie R. Woodard a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She will lie-in-state on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Dr. Jeffrey Jefferson as the eulogist. Burial in Greenwood cemetery.
