Angela Lashell Strong-Smith's Obituary
Angela Lashell Strong Smith, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in a local hospital. She was a 1977 graduate of Covington High School in Jackson, Tennessee. She received her B.A. degree from UT Martin. Angela was a member of the AKA Sorority. She was a member of Sign of the Dove Church where she was a part of the Women’s Ministry. Angela was employed by The Healthcare Center @ Standifer Place. Angela was preceded in death by her birth mother; parents, Willie James and Louise Strong; husband of 18 years, Phillip Smith. Survivors include her sons, Brandon Smith and Cedric Smith, both of Chattanooga; 7 grandchildren; companion, Aaron Butts; 3 aunts; cousins (friends by chance/sisters by choice), Kelli Williams, Tara Marsh, both of Rossville, GA, Barbara Evans, and Tea Whitley, both of Jackson, TN; Camron Smith, Kwan Smith, and De’Andre Smith, all who reared like her sons; 4 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; other relatives and friends. Pastor Willie Miles will serve as the eulogist.
