Andrew Massengill's Obituary
Andrew Franklin Massengill, Jr., 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023, at his residence. He was born July 27, 1949 to Andrew Massengill, Sr. and Mrs. Earlena Young of Ooltewah, Tennessee. He attended and achieved his commercial trucking license. He was a Tourism Hospitality Manager and retired from Wheland Foundry. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; and sibling, Wallace Massengill. Survivors include his loving wife and caregiver for 22+ years, Vickie Massengill; three daughters, Kristie Massengill Miller, Sirena Massengill Lewis, and Andrea Massengill Thompson; brothers, Larry Massengill, Andre Massengill, Jason Massengill and Robert Talmadge; sister, Willene Gaines; stepdaughters, Stacy (Leonard) Lane and Tammy Armour; stepson, Love (Rochelle) Armour; step-grandchildren, Tracey Wilson, Ja’Stacia Green, Justin Armour, and Jeffery Armour; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Dr. Kunsana) Keith of California, Alice (Carven, Jr.) Baker of Tennessee, Cathy Armour (William Freeman) of Texas, and Rosemerry Armour (Gary Ewing) of Tennessee; brothers-in-law, Gilbert (Mary) Armour of Tennessee, Jan (Bette) Armour of Milo Italy, and John (Angela) Raper of Athens, TN; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Andrew will lie-in-state on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 9-11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 12 noon in Highland Memorial Gardens with Lawrence Brewer giving words of comfort.
