Andre "Dre" Edwin Caldwell's Obituary
Andre "Dre" Edwin Caldwell, 49, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in the Hospice Care Center. He was a 1992 graduate of Ball High School. Andre attended Galveston College. He was a member of Pneuma Chrisitan Center where he was an Usher and member of the Finance Department. Andre was formerly employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee as a Customer Service Representative. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Douglas Barnes; grandma, Pachann Barnes; father, Andre Sims; and grandma, Rose Marie Sims. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Marcelle A. Caldwell; brothers, Charles “Chuck” Toney and Rickey (Niki) Johnson, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Angela Sims of Germany , Vanessa (Roderick) Johnson, Irene Holimon, Michelle (Jimmy) Ingram, all of Cleveland, OH, and Pamela (Kevin) Baker; uncle, Williams Caldwell of Galveston, TX; cousins, Kodia Beverly of Galveston and Benjamin Parson; best friend, Malcolm Gollida; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Andre will lie-in-state on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 12:30-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. The burial will be on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 12 noon in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at Pneuma Christian Center with Pastor R.J. McGowan as the eulogist.
