Amya Avonda Hammonds, 15, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2019 in a Nashville hospital. She attended Brainerd High School. Amya was preceded in death by her grandmother, Avonda Robinson; great-grandmothers, Debra Robinson and Lorraine Parmes. Survivors include her father, Jovani Robinson, Sr.; mother, April Hammonds; grandparents, Patricia and Bruce Patton and Linda and Alfred Smith, Jr.; brothers, June Hammonds, Jarode Hammonds, DeNylee Hammonds, Jovani Robinson, Jr., and King Robinson; sisters, Kamillya Hammonds, Kyla Hammonds, Elissa Hammonds, Mariah Hammonds, Zorie Hammonds, Cheriyah Robinson, Labella Robinson, and Promise Robinson; uncles, Darrell Parmes, Christopher Brooks, David Robinson, James McClennon, Anthony Brown, and Alfred Smith III; aunts, Laticia Woods, Ashley Hammonds, Jacqueline Robinson, Ashley Robinson, Shawanna Hammonds, ShaDara Bonds, and Kiara Robinson, all of Chattanooga; great uncles, Grady Parmes, Jr. and Grady McCain; a host of cousins; other relatives and friends. Pastor Lebron Hawkins will serve as the eulogist.
