Alice Saddler's Obituary
Alice Saddler, 72, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2024, in a local hospital. Alice graduated from Riverside High School class of 1970 and then went on to further her education at Chattanooga State Community College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Erlanger Hospital for twenty-five years, as well as BlueCross/BlueShield of Tennessee. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Saddler; father, Henry Woods; mother, Georgia Ann Woods; sisters, Yolanda Woods, Lettie Maddox, Joyce Williams, and Geraldine Caslin; brother, Stanford Smith; several nieces and nephews. Survivors include daughters, Ericka (Ernest) Lewis of Murfreesboro, TN, Lakiesha Smith, and Adrienne Smith, both of Chattanooga; brother, Lawrence Smith of Chattanooga; sisters, Mary Bibbs and Janice Stamper, both of Chattanooga; grandsons, Cobey Smith, Clyde Hutcherson, and Trey Lewis; granddaughters, Stephanie (Edward) Davis and Candice Lansden; three great-grandchildren. Alice will lie-in-state on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, October 18, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the chapel with Reverend Wayne L. Johnson as Eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
