Alice Rucker's Obituary
On Thursday, March 17, 2022, Alice Ann Rucker, 68, of Chattanooga, heard a voice from heaven saying, “Well done my good and faithful servant, welcome home.” She was born July 31, 1953, to the late Mr. Grover and Janie Rucker. She attended Howard High School and worked at Finley Stadium. She enjoyed playing lottery and spending time with her family and friends. She was united at heaven’s gates with her sisters, Cora Mae Cummings, Bessie Lee White, Barbara Jean McClendon, and Patricia Rucker; and brother, Lamar Weams. Alice leaves to cherish her memories a lifelong partner and friend, Mr. Bennie Watkins; son, Alvin Dewayne Rucker; daughters, Sylvia Denise Rucker and Leisa Marline Rucker; brother, Grover Rucker, Jr; 13 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to caregiver Cassandra Montgomery, the nurses, and staff with Hearth Hospice. Minister Sheree Robinson will be the eulogist.
