Alfredrick Robinson's Obituary
Alfredrick “Big Al” Robinson, 75, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the Tennessee Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He attended Howard High School and was a graduate of Chattanooga Adult High School and Edmondson Business College, Chattanooga, Tennessee. He retired from Rockwell International (Wheland Foundry). Mr. Robinson was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He received the Army Commendation, National Defense Service, Vietnam Campaign and Air Medals, Expert M-16, Marksman M-14, two Overseas Bars while obtaining the rank of Specialist 4. Alfredrick was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Louise Davis Robinson and Mell Robinson; sisters, Blondyne Willis Strickland and (his twin), LaFretta “Tootsie” Robinson Lollis; three brothers, Calvin Willis, Albert Robinson, and Donnie Harold Robinson. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, the love of his life, Gwendolyn Rice Robinson; sons, Willie (Simeko) Robinson of Decatur, AL and Jermaine Cosby of Chattanooga; daughters, Brisha Robinson of Decatur, AL and Elaine Cosby (Kelly) Schwartz of Kingston Springs, TN; six grandsons, Kyree Robinson, Frank Bentley, IV, Jueld Bentley, JaBryan Robinson of Decatur, AL, Darrius Robinson of Chattanooga, and Justin Holman of Huntsville, AL; granddaughter, Jaylah Carrie “Girl” Cosby of Lafayette, GA; sister, Hilda (Michael) Little of Quincy, FL; sister-in-law, Angela Robinson of Chattanooga; very dear friends, Mrs. Yvonne Bryant and Mrs. Richardson of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. Minister George E. Woodruff, Jr. will be the eulogist.
