Alfred Lewis "Blue" Griffin, Sr.'s Obituary
Alfred Lewis “Blue” Griffin, Sr., 58, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in a local hospital. He was a 1982 graduate of Howard High School and continued his education at Tennessee State University. He was a member of Thankful Missionary Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, served on the Usher Board, Bus Ministry, Male Choir, Helping Hands Pantry, Youth Department, and Kitchen Committee. Alfred was an Honorary Coach for the 9U and 11U Tennessee A.C.E.S. Baseball Organization. He was preceded in death by his parents, Malvin and Cassie Griffin; siblings, Dorothy Griffin, Linda Ann Griffin, Willie “Shine” Griffin, Shirley Ann Lockhart, and Alvin Griffin, Sr. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Gail A. Griffin; son, Alfred Lewis “Mista” Griffin, Jr. of Chattanooga; daughters, Melodee (Quincy) Harris of Chattanooga, LaQuisha Griffin of Murfreesboro, TN, and Tyisha (Darryon) Wood, Keishayla Griffin and Ri’nesha Davis, all of Chattanooga; nineteen grandchildren; brothers, Calvin (Victoria) Griffin and Dennis (Tiffany) Griffin, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Malvin Mae (Freeman) Presley of Layfette, AL and Eva Brydsong of Chattanooga; a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Dr. Pastor Mack E. Page, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
