My friend, may you find the peace in Heaven that you deserve. I miss you.
Even though not every day was a "good" day, Alonzo was very positive, talking about good things, and not about the things that were wrong in the world. He didn't have any apparent limits on seeing the bright side.
Alonzo may have been the most thankful person I have ever known. Each time we talked, no exceptions, he told me how blessed he was. And, he liked to talk about the importance of faith in God. His truly did shine through.
Alonzo enjoyed visiting different places and just getting out. Last month we drove around looking at Christmas lights. Oh, he was like a kid, seeing so many beautiful decorations. It really perked him up!
