Alexander Watkins' Obituary
Alexander Watkins, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in a local hospital. He was born on January 8, 1962, in Chattanooga to Willie Louis Watkins, Sr. and Wanda Snow. He was educated in the Hamilton County School system and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1983 before pursuing and acquiring an associate’s degree from Cleveland State Community College. Alexander was employed as a counselor for the Hamilton County Juvenile System.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Louis Watkins, Sr.; mother, Wanda Snow; brothers, William Jones, Darrell Watkins, and Willie "Red" Watkins Jr.
Those left to cherish his memories include his sons, Alexander Watkins, Jr., Alexander Watkins, III, Alexander Watkins, IV, and Jordan Watkins; daughters, Celeste Hughes and Alexandria Watkins; three grandchildren, Cincere Hughes, Brandon Strickland, and Azari Strickland; brothers, Reginald Watkins and Terrance Moorer; sisters, Roneika McKinley, Natasha Dodds and Trinesia Colvin; favorite cousin, Nickey Ronald (Sylvia) Hammond; close friend, Jeffery Hall, Sr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Alexander will lie-in-state on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon in the Chapel with Pastor Ronald B. Cook, Sr. as the Eulogist. Burial in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
