Alex Victor “Vic” Freeman, Sr., 55, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 in a local hospital. He attended Howard High School and was a member of New Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was formerly employed by the City of Chattanooga. “Vic” was preceded in death by his father, Walter “Dank” Freeman; son, Alex Victor Freeman; grandparents, Hattie Mae Freeman, Emma Branch, and Rudolph Morris; sister, Olivia Benford; brothers, Michael Benford, Harold Benford, Melvin Benford, David Benford, and Guy Wilkerson. Survivors include wife, Melissa Freeman; sons, Alex “Lil’ Vic’ Freeman, Jr., Alex Deante Freeman, Alex “Red Juice” Freeman, Alexander Freeman, and Ronnie Porter; daughters, Victoria “Tasha” Freeman, Tomulla “Bug” Freeman, Keriesha McConnell, Alea Freeman, and Dabrisha Garner; 21 grandchildren; birth mom, Juliette Freeman, aunt/mother, Norma Jean Hughley; brothers, Walter (Hilda) Lindsey, Gregory (Gwendolyn) Pittman, Nathan (Rene) Benford, Norman Freeman, Ronnie Readus, Demetrius Vaughn, and Jermaine Hughley; sisters, Emma Benford, Sandra Benford, Lois (Kenneth) Martin, Betty Freeman, Dorothy Turner, and Sheila Whitlock; aunt, Ruby Lena Word; very special friend, Rosalyn Gallaher; special friends, Mark (Julie) Benveniste and Adolphus Mitchell; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
