Aleane Hunter's Obituary
Aleane Hunter, 82, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at her residence. She was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hatter’s. Aleane was formerly employed by Erlanger Hospital. She was preceded in death by her son, Devotis Hunter; parents, Albert and Louise Hunter; sister, Dorothy (Comer) McCaulley; and brother-in-law, William Middlebrooks. Survivors include her son, Felix Hunter of Chattanooga; daughters, Dementira (Edward) Stewart of Atlanta, GA, Veronica Hunter of Chattanooga, and Rosina (Edward) Bell of Harrison, TN; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, James (Louise) Hunter of Chattanooga; sister, Claudia Middlebrooks of Atlanta; devoted nieces, Vanessa Lowery and Felicia McCaulley, both of Chattanooga; devoted nephew, El Dorado McCaulley of South Bend, IN; a host of other relatives and friends. Pastor Ternae Jordan, Sr. will serve as the eulogist.
