Ms Alberta Tanksley's Obituary
Alberta Tanksley, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019 in the Hospice Care Center. She was a 1967 graduate of Howard High School. She was a member of Faith in Christ Church and served on the Mother’s Board and sang in the choir. Survivors include her son, Gregory Moore; daughter, Deartra Skillern; grandchild, Charles Skillern, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Keyara Skillern, all of Chattanooga; brother, Fred Tanksley, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Minnie Tanksley of Chattanooga; nephews, Eric Tanksley and Jeffrey Tanksley; special friends, Carolyn Gordon and family; Billie Spence and family, and Daune Sims; a host of other relatives and friends. Alberta will lie-in-state on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Robert L. Sharp as the eulogist. Burial in Highland Memorial Gardens.
