Alberta Ivane Marshall's Obituary
Alberta Ivane Marshall, 54, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at her residence. She was a 1988 graduate of Brainerd High School. She attended New Anointed Pure Holiness Church of God. Alberta was preceded in death by her father, Albert Davenport, Sr.; husband, Reginald Marshall; son, Jared Hawkins; sister, Tanya Grandberry; and niece, Alexandrea Woods. Survivors include her sons, Jericho (Melody) Hawkins of Knoxville, TN, Joshua (Tenisha) Hawkins, and Daniel Marshall, both of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Madison and Miah Hawkins, Joshua, Jr., Ja’Naire, Ja’Zir, and Zykia; mother, Barbara Davenport of Chattanooga; brother, Albert (Lynnequia) Davenport, Jr. of Chattanooga; sisters, Kimberly Coonrod of Las Vegas, NV and Tammy (Ransom) Evans of Chattanooga; uncles, Theodore Lindsey, Sr. and Benjamin Ray Lindsey, both of Alabama; aunts, Jenny Harris of Chattanooga, Vivian Langston of Atlanta, GA, Catherine Saddler of Chattanooga, Pandora Eady of Las Vegas, NV, and Montine Kelly of Chattanooga; nieces, Amanda Woods, Laticia Coonrod, Akeyla Davenport, and Acacia Davenport; nephews, Christopher Coonrod, Tyler Partridge, Dakota Evans, Roman Evans, and Caleb Davenport; several cousins that were like siblings and great-nieces and great-nephews that Alberta cared for like her own children. She will lie-in-state on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 12:30-5:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, March 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at New United Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Jeffrey Wilson as the Eulogist. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
